Jamie replied to an advert in the Rutland Times for a fish farm worker at Horn Mill Trout Farm in 1990.
He started on the YTS, attending Sparsholt College in Hampshire and working for a year to complete his Fish Farming/Fishery Course. He continued working for Timpany Ltd at Horn Mill until it was sold in 2000.
He was then employed by River Gwash Trout Farm Ltd and is now farm manager responsible for the day to day running of both sites. A keen fly fisherman for Trout, Pike and Zander on numerous Midlands Reservoirs, his knowledge and enthusiasm for his work make him extremely popular with the customers.
